What a Real Deep Clean Actually Includes
May 2026 · 4 min read
There is a massive difference between a routine wipe-down and a genuine deep clean. After years of resetting homes across San Diego County, we've learned that most people have never actually experienced one — and once they do, they understand immediately why it changes the way their home feels.
A deep clean is not an intense version of your weekly maintenance. It is a complete reset — top to bottom, surface to surface, every square inch addressed. Baseboards that have collected years of settled dust. Shower grout that has slowly darkened. Fan blades that quietly circulate everything they've trapped. Cabinet fronts fingerprinted from thousands of meals. These are the places that need the Finished standard.
What We Actually Do
We begin from the top. Ceiling fans and light fixtures first — so any dust that falls gets picked up in the next pass, never left on a surface we already cleaned. Every room follows the same logic: work high to low, perimeter to center.
In bathrooms, we scale the shower and tub with the right products for your tile type — not a general-purpose spray but the correct chemistry for the job. We clean behind the toilet, not just the exterior. We polish faucets until the water spots vanish and the metal shows through.
In kitchens, we clean inside the microwave, degrease the stovetop, wipe every cabinet exterior, and polish the sink until it reflects. We don't skip the light switch plates. We don't skip the door frames. We don't skip the window sills.
The final walkthrough is ours before it becomes yours. We go room to room before leaving — not to sign off on paperwork, but to actually look at the space the way a client would when they walk in. If something isn't right, we address it.
When to Book One
Deep cleans are the right call when: you're moving in or out, you want to establish a clean baseline before starting recurring service, you're hosting something important, or you simply haven't had a thorough clean in more than a few months. If you're not sure, start here. It resets everything.
After a deep clean, recurring maintenance becomes genuinely easy — the kind of clean that stays cleaner between visits, because there's no hidden buildup underneath.
